We love this place! We've been here a few times and everything we get has always been good. The location is a little hole in the wall in downtown. The staff is always willing to give suggestions. You order the main dish and choose what dumplings go in it. We got the classic dumplings (potato cheese and pork and beef), loaded dumplings (potato cheese), beef soup (beef and pork), chicken soup (pork and beef), and honey cake. It's all so good! Definitely worth trying.

Dec 2023 This is one of my sister's favorite places to eat, so she brought me here to try it out. And I have to say that I totally understand why she comes here a lot: the food is delicious and the service is excellent. We came in Saturday morning after they opened. The place is dimly lit, cozy, and clean. When you walk in, the counter and kitchen are in front with a small bar on the left by the window (4 bar seats). The dining tables are upstairs in a loft overlooking the front entrance. There are seven 2-6 people tables. Right at the top of the stairs are free water with plastic cups, some puzzle books, and crayons. On each table are napkins, salt, pepper, some kind of curry spice, and soy sauce. The staff deliver the food (and utensils) upstairs to you. You take care of your own plates though. By the stairs is a busing station: trash and recycling bins and a bin to put your used dishes and utensils. Also a single baby's high chair. There is a single unisex bathroom on the ground floor, all the way in the back, through what looks like a sort of storage room, and in the right back corner. The bathroom is a bit small, but clean and dry. The toilet is a bit low and the sink is an old fashioned stand type. The staff were friendly, polite, and efficient. I think there were only 3 or 4 staff when we came in, but they were quick with delivering our food. All the food we got was very delicious, and I totally understand why my sister loves this place. I highly recommend any of the dumplings (I think even the plain dumplings would be tasty). The dumplings have 5 different stuffings: beef, chicken, beef/pork, potato/cheese, and potato/mushroom. The non-plain dumplings also come in either 12 or 18 count. The plain dumplings are 14 count. My sister also highly recommends the Borscht, and says it's her favorite beet soup she's ever had. Overall, excellent food and great service. Would definitely come again.

Enjoyed some really delicious beef and pork dumplings and sides including, the beet salad and the pickles. We kept seeing more things we wanted to try on the menu, so we will be back next time we're in Olympia. Friendly staff and we liked the upstairs seating area.

I tried the loaded dumplings with both beef and chicken, and they were really good. I’m not a dumpling connoisseur, but combining loaded baked potato flavors—green onions, bacon, cheddar, and sour cream—with pierogi-like dumplings just makes perfect sense. It was so good I wished I had ordered the large! We also shared an apple turnover, which was excellent, and my wife had the chicken soup with dumplings—also amazing. Everything tasted fresh and comforting. I highly recommend this place and honestly wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

Just had a great meal there. I explained it was my first time there and the host was helpful in explaining how the menu worked (pick your dumpling style, then the filling/protein). It was casual dining. The portion size was good for the regular, the large must be only for when you’re really hungry. The food was delicious. I’ll definitely be back soon to try out more of the menu.

Very charming setting, and all the food was amazing. The sauces were great with a generous serving for the portion size. The honey cake was especially good!

What a great spot. Walking in, you know you're getting something fun. Staff were immediately attentive and clearly pro The dumplings are great, I've had a few kinds. Sauces and the butter/vinegar they cover them with is just magnificent. I have never eaten anything quite like the combinations of flavors in the meat dumplings, the smooth butter with the bracing vinegar in it, the paprika heavy seasoning to the chewy dumplings. Yet it tasted like home. I love the decor the space and the seating area upstairs is somehow simultaneously downhome minimalist and also high concept.

This place is always delicious! Dumplings are amazing and very consistent. We go out of our way to eat here, like really far out of the way--hundreds of miles, and it's always worth it! The horseradish sour cream is amazing! The shredded cheese is kind of flavorless, but all in all, this place is great.
